Product Description

Null Detector Digital

The null detector comprises a solid state amplifier having output stage with meter indication. The instrument is supplied in metal cabinet with Duco paint & Bakelite front panel. The said detector has been designed for use with AC bridges (replaceable of headphone). While performing the experiment with four arm bridges, bridge oscillators & headphones are required in almost all the four arm bridges. Sometime good quality headphones are not available & also audibility of each student is different from the another. That's why teachers are switching to null detector in place of headphone.

High Sensitivity and Precision

With a maximum sensitivity of 10 microvolts and an accuracy of 0.01% of reading, the digital null detector is adept at capturing even the smallest voltage differentials. This level of precision is essential for experimental and calibration tasks involving Wheatstone bridges or highly sensitive transducers.

User-Friendly and Robust Design

The matte-finished, powder-coated metal enclosure ensures durability, while the bright four-digit red LED provides effortless readability. The device incorporates audible (piezo buzzer) and visual indicators, allowing users to detect null points easily. Rubber foot mounts enhance table stability, and fuse protection ensures operational safety.

Versatile Application and Compliance

Suitable for balancing and measurement applications in laboratories and industrial environments, this instrument adheres to IS & IEC standards. Operation is simple with a standard 220V AC, 50 Hz mains supply, and the compact 2.5 kg table-top design makes it both portable and convenient for various settings across India.

FAQs of Null Detector Digital:

Q: How does the Null Detector Digital indicate when a null point is detected?

A: The device uses both visual and audible signals to indicate a null point. The four-digit bright red LED display provides a clear visual cue, while the internal piezo buzzer gives an audible alert, ensuring you never miss a null indication.

Q: What types of applications can the Null Detector Digital be used for?

A: It is designed for the measurement and balancing of transducers, Wheatstone bridges, and other applications requiring precise null point detection. Its sensitivity and accuracy make it suitable for laboratory and industrial environments.

Q: When should I use this digital null detector over an analog detector?

A: This digital null detector is ideal when high sensitivity, accuracy, and clear output signals are essential. It offers easier and more reliable readings in applications where minute voltage changes must be observed without ambiguity.

Q: Where can I install or use the Null Detector Digital?

A: The compact, table-top design with rubber foot mounts makes it appropriate for use on laboratory benches, test stations, or wherever precise electrical measurements are conducted. Its robust build ensures stability during operation.

Q: What is the process for setting up and using the instrument?

A: Simply connect the device to a standard 220V AC, 50 Hz power source. After a three-hour charging period, it is ready for operation. Connect to your measurement circuits (such as Wheatstone bridges), monitor the LED display, and listen for the buzzer to indicate a precise null point.

Q: What benefits does the digital design offer over traditional models?

A: The digital circuitry provides improved accuracy (0.01%), enhanced sensitivity, and immediate, clear null point recognition via both audio and visual indicators. Its compliance with IS & IEC standards further assures consistent and reliable performance.
