Hall effect Experiment (AE 208 )

Features : The set up consists of the following:

 

  • High Quality Electromagnet of 7.5 Kg
  • Power supply for electromagnet 0-100V/4 Amp with meter mounted on the front panel
  • Germanium crystal mounted on a PCB with four connectors/probes. Four wires for crystal connections are provided with banana plugs at the end.
  • Constant current power supply 0-20 mA fitted with two digital meters for Hall voltage & crystal current. Provided with banana sockets for connection with the crystal
  • Gauss meter digital, Range:0-20 K Gauss. The instrument is provided with two scale ranges of 2k Gauss, 20k Gauss.
  • Hall probe made of highly pure Indium Arsenide Crystal and is encapsulated to a non-magnetic sheet of 5mm*4mm*1mm (approx.) and is connected to a three feet cable. A removable cap is provided for protection of the probe.
  • Wooden stand to hold the probe and crystal arrangement between the two poles of the electromagnet
