Product Description

G by Free Fall Apparatus Experiment

Product Description:

We are the manufacturers and exporters of Free fall apparatus experiment one of the fast moving products.

Specifications:

G by free fall apparatus, magnetic release for determination of acceleration due to gravity g by measuring the time of fall of a steel spherical ball through a known distance.

This apparatus consists of an electromagnet driven by a solenoid (for prompt release of the steel sphere on being disconnected) and gate switch unit mounted on a base. Both, electromagnet and the bottom unit provided with 4mm sockets for electrical connection.

When the steel sphere strikes the plate of the gate switch unit near the bottom, the same is communicated to the timer by make/break of continuity to trigger the stopping of timer.

Effortless and Accurate Free Fall Measurements

With crystal-controlled digital timing and precise electromagnetic release, the apparatus ensures every free fall trial provides highly accurate data. Adjustable drop height and a responsive digital timer make this the perfect tool for exploring gravitys effects.

Designed for Safety and Convenience

The units overload protection, shielded cabling, and LED indicator enhance safety and usability. Mounts securely on any desktop, while automatic reset simplifies repeated trials for student efficiency.

Robust, Versatile Laboratory Solution

Built from durable metal and powered via 220V AC, the apparatus stands up to regular use in laboratories, universities, and industry settings alike. Intuitive manual controls and clear digital display make operation straightforward for users at all levels.

FAQs of g by Free Fall Apparatus Experiment:

Q: How does the g by Free Fall Apparatus with Electromagnetic Release measure acceleration due to gravity?

A: The apparatus uses an electromagnetic mechanism to release a steel ball from a chosen height. As the ball falls, an electromagnetic sensor at the base detects its arrival, and a crystal-controlled digital timer records the time taken. This provides the data required to calculate the acceleration due to gravity.

Q: What is the process for conducting an experiment using this apparatus?

A: To perform the experiment, first set the desired drop height (up to 110 cm), place the steel ball in the release mechanism, and reset the timer. Activate the electromagnetic release using the manual switch, allowing the ball to fall and be detected at the bottom. The timed result appears instantly on the digital display.

Q: When is this apparatus most beneficial for laboratory use?

A: This apparatus is most beneficial during experiments in physics classes or research labs that require accurate measurements of gravitational acceleration. Its precision timing and easy operation suit both instruction and detailed scientific inquiry.

Q: Where can the g by Free Fall Apparatus be installed and used?

A: Designed for desktop mounting, the apparatus is suitable for laboratories, schools, colleges, universities, and research centers. Its compact footprint and robust construction allow flexible placement in various educational or industrial environments.

Q: What safety features are included in the apparatus?

A: Safety is prioritized through overload protection for the timer circuit, shielded wiring, a stable metal base, and an LED indicator. These features minimize electrical risks and help maintain reliable apparatus performance.

Q: How is the apparatus powered and what are its operational advantages?

A: The unit operates on 220 V AC mains power and consumes 15 W, eliminating concerns about battery charging. Automatic reset functions and manual controls offer robust, uninterrupted use for multiple sequential experiments.

Q: What makes this apparatus suitable for educational or research use compared to simpler timing methods?

A: Unlike manual stopwatch methods, the electromagnetic release and digital timing system provide precise, repeatable, and unbiased results. This not only improves accuracy but also streamlines the experimental process, making it ideal for both teaching and research applications.
